Believe - Belong - Become
Welcome to Waiau Pā Primary School!
At Waiau Pā, we are proud to provide a vibrant and nurturing learning environment for students from Years 1 to 8. Our school is a place where children can thrive academically, socially, and personally, supported by a dedicated team of teachers and staff who are passionate about education and student well-being.
We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, recognizing their importance as the foundation for lifelong learning. Alongside these core areas, we offer a rich and diverse curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. From science and technology to the arts, sports, and cultural studies, every student has the opportunity to discover and develop their unique talents and interests.
Our school values, RICH—Respect, Inclusion, Care, and Honesty—guide everything we do. These principles help create a positive and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and supported. At Waiau Pā School, we believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging and the confidence to achieve their full potential.
Our motto, “Believe, Belong, Become,” reflects our commitment to nurturing students who believe in themselves, feel connected to their community, and grow into confident, capable individuals. Through a range of extracurricular activities and opportunities, from kapa haka to sports teams and leadership programmes, we strive to provide a well-rounded education that prepares our students for the future.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about the amazing opportunities we offer. Whether you are a prospective family, current parent, or community member, we welcome you to join us in creating a vibrant and inspiring learning journey for all our tamariki.

What a Suprise!
On Thursday 16th February 2023, we welcomed some special guests from Ebbet Pukekohe. Ebbet Pukekohe are known for supporting schools, and sports teams. Locals supporting locals. They donated a van to our school for us to use for sporting events, camps and school trips. We are so grateful to Ebbet Pukekohe!
